The John Peck Society is a local history group that is supported by not only local residents but many others from surrounding villages and towns who are interested in our local history. The management commitee meet on a regular basis when they organise the summer outing for a visit to some local historical place. Several other social evenings are held in the Village Hall, when guest speakers are invited to attend to give an interesting talkand show slides of local historical events.
